How does the design process work?
Once we get your order with your payment, we request that you send us your book cover image, your author photo, and a copy of your manuscript (so we can extract sample chapters and excerpts for your subscribers).
We then custom design your site to match your book’s colors and theme. We also write compelling headlines that entice readers to subscribe to your mailing list to download your sample chapters. We include your author bio, three best reviews, a 3-D graphic of your book cover, Buy Now buttons that link to Amazon, a spam-free contact form, and an email subscriber form. We can also set up a blog if you like.
After we create your design, we will ask for your feedback and approval. Once you approve the design, we will complete your site, and you will be able to review it and make any changes. Your website can be ready in 7 to 10 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), provided we receive content and approvals promptly.
Once your site is ready to go, we start marketing it nationwide, putting it in front of 5,000 book lovers to help you build your email list and make sales.
How long does it take to build my site?
We can have your website up and running within 7 to 10 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), provided we get your content and approvals quickly.
Is there a contract?
A 6-month contract is required. After 6 months, you own your site, and you can move your domain and hosting if you like. However, if you wish to keep your monthly email campaign and 5,000 website views, you will need to continue your payments of $99 per month.
Why $99 per month?
The $99 monthly fee covers your premium website hosting with backups and security, monthly content updates and email campaign, and 5,000 site views per month. We don’t know of any other website package that includes this much value for this low price.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept payment only through PayPal, a secure online payment processor. You can use your credit card through PayPal to subscribe to our service. The down payment is $295 (40% off our regular rate of $495). Each month you will be charged $99 through PayPal, starting one month after you subscribe.
A 6-month contract is required. After 6 months, you own your site, and you can choose to move it to another provider if you wish. However, to keep your monthly updates, email campaign, and 5,000 site views, you will need to continue your subscription for $99 per month.
To cancel your subscription, you must login to your PayPal account and cancel preapproved payments. Please note that we cannot cancel your payments from our end. You must go through PayPal directly.
Do you provide my domain name and hosting?
Yes, we will register your dot-com domain name for you and set up your website hosting on our secure server. If you already have a domain, transfer to our service is included. (Specialty domain extensions may be extra. These domain extensions are included: .com, .net, .org, .info, and .biz)
Does my book have to be available on Amazon now?
We recommend that you have your book published on Amazon (or at another online book outlet) before getting your website. If your book will be published online within the next 30 days, we can get your website started, and you can begin getting subscribers to your mailing list. However, to take full advantage of your email campaigns and marketing, your book should be available to buy as soon as possible.
What if I don’t have any book reviews yet?
We strongly recommend that you email a copy of your book to family and friends and ask them to review your book on Amazon. If you can get reviews from other writers and experts in your genre or from media sources, that’s great, too. If you don’t have them on Amazon, you can send the reviews to us by email. (You can also choose reviews from Amazon you would like us to use, or we can choose them for you.) Reviews that are posted on an independent site like Amazon give you more credibility with readers and help you sell your books.
Can I send emails to my list more than once a month?
We send an excerpt from your book to your email list, along with a link to buy your book online, once every month. You are welcome to send more emails to your list. We will schedule up to two additional emails per month for you. We discourage sending more than a few emails each month, so your readers don’t get annoyed and unsubscribe. For best results, the messages you send should be entertaining and interesting, not just ads to buy your book.
How do you guarantee 5,000 website views per month?
We put your website in its own window (called a pop-under) on an ad network that shows your site to book lovers all over the country. Your site is shown to 166 – 200 people per day.
We use full page pop-under advertising to send people directly to your website. A full page pop-under is a type of window that appears behind the browser window of a website that a user has visited. Because a pop-under is less obtrusive than other types of ads, it is more effective than any other ad format.
We may also use a pop-up box on your site to get you more subscribers for your email list.
Can I update my website whenever I want?
Yes, you have two options for updating your website. We will update your content for you once a month (change text, add photos and reviews, post to your blog, etc.). This option includes one hour of edits per month. If you want to update your site more often, we can show you how with a free, one-hour training session by phone. Your site is built in WordPress with an online editor that makes it easy to make changes. If you can use Word, you can use WordPress.
Will my site be listed on Google?
We do on-site Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to get your website indexed correctly on search engines. We also submit your site to Google upon completion. Google usually indexes your site within a few days, and since it shares its results with other search engines, you can also be listed on them, as well.
